Dear Calf Pen Meadow Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed the snow day on Monday! This week, our 4th and 5th grade students shined at the instrumental concert at Jonathan Law High School, where they not only showcased their musical talents on stage but also made CPM proud as respectful and supportive audience members.
We are excited to celebrate World Read Aloud Day this Wednesday with special guest readers and fun activities planned to highlight our love of reading. Looking ahead, we are gearing up for Spirit Week next week, kicking off with Opposite Day—we can’t wait to see everyone’s creative participation!

Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school.
We will be conducting a crisis drill next week. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district and in collaboration with our local first responders. Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children. If you have any feedback please reach out to asimonelli@milforded.org. We thank you for your cooperation and partnership in making our schools a safer place for learning.
