Calf Pen Meadow Elementary School

News from the Meadow

October 10, 2025

Dear Calf Pen Meadow Families,

We had an exciting week with the start of Lego Club after school, an assembly for 4th and 5th graders, and picture day! Our students looked great and smiled big. Running Club is in motion, and students are enjoying the Giggling Pig after school enrichment class. I was able to eat lunch with all students in Ms. Ghebretzadick's and Ms. Bannon's classes, and I am looking forward to starting lunch groups with Ms. Charbonneau's class next.

Our staff is excited for Parent Teacher Conferences next week. Please be sure to reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions.

Enjoy the beautiful Fall weather this weekend!

Annamaria Simonelli, Principal

Minute Meetings with School Counselors!

We are excited to share that starting again this fall, our school counselor will meet briefly with all 4th and 5th graders for “Minute Meetings”. These short, individual conversations help us learn more about each student and ensure they feel a strong sense of belonging, connection and support in the Milford Public Schools. Counselors will ask a few simple questions about students’ interests and school experiences to help guide how we support them in their academic and personal growth throughout the year.

If you have questions about Minute Meetings, please contact Carly Pala
at carlypala@milforded.org

Bus Evacuation Drill

Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school.

Calf Pen Meadow School will be conducting a School Bus Evacuation drill next week. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district, and in collaboration with our student transportation provider.  Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children.  If you have any feedback please reach out to asimonelli@milforded.org  We thank you for your cooperation and partnership in making our schools a safer place for learning.

Family Pictures Wanted! Please send a family picture to Mrs. Hubball at ahubball@milforded.org so we can add it to our 'CPM Family' bulletin board.
