Dear Families,
What a wonderful week at CPM! Most importantly, we had an AMAZING Staff Appreciation Week thanks to our incredible PTA and all of the families who contributed. Our teachers and staff felt so appreciated, celebrated, and loved all week long—thank you for your generosity and support.
On Monday evening, I enjoyed attending the district art show and seeing so many impressive student creations on display. We’re now looking ahead to our school-based art show next Friday and are still in need of volunteers—please consider signing up below if you are able to help.
This week also included the Mayor’s Youth Award Ceremony and our spring chorus concert, both of which showcased the many talents and accomplishments of our students. Throughout it all, students have continued to work hard and stay focused during SBA testing.
We are also excited to welcome our newest CPM families during Kindergarten Kick Off next week for our incoming kindergarten students!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Placement for Next School Year |
If you wish to provide information for our team to use in placing your child in a classroom next year, please send an email to Mrs. Simonelli by May 15, at asimonelli@milforded.org.
Our goal is to meet the needs of every student while prioritizing balanced classes, factoring in academic, social, and behavioral needs, and class size.
While you cannot request a particular teacher, please provide any information about what type of environment best suits your child's learning style. Additionally, we cannot guarantee specific placements. Questions? - Just reach out!

Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school.
We will be conducting a crisis drill next week. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district and in collaboration with our local first responders. Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children. If you have any feedback please reach out to asimonelli@milforded.org. We thank you for your cooperation and partnership in making our schools a safer place for learning.
