Dear Calf Pen Meadow Families,

Thank you to all who attended our first PTA meeting this past Tuesday. We are so excited about the many events that will be happening throughout the year. Be sure to read through this newsletter so you don't miss out! We are happy to share that Avery's Little Garden Brick Fundraiser will be re-opening. More information below.

We have a short week next week with no school on Tuesday, 9/23, and an early dismissal on Wednesday, 9/24.

The PTA is excited to announce our Fall Enrichment options below - great opportunities for our kids to explore their passions or to try something new! Please reach out to Joel Schrock (joel.m.schrock@gmail.com) with any questions or issues with enrollment.

Adventures in STEM with LEGO Materials ($126)
Thursdays 3:30-4:30pm: 10/9-11/20; no session on 10/16
Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as: chugging steamboats, enchanted moon bridges and bustling airports. Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.

Fridays 7:30-8:30am: 9/26-10/31
Learn how to run with Mrs. Lipp & Mrs. Francoeur! Students will stretch, do a 30 minute run/walk, and then finish with a cool down before school starts.

Dear Parents,

We encourage you to take a few minutes to read the latest edition of the Community Connection Center (CCC) Newsletter, which shares a wide range of events, services, and helpful resources available to families in Milford and across the region.

This week’s highlights include:

  • Milford-based programs and events like inclusive recreational opportunities, a family movie at the library, and the NOAA Milford Lab’s annual open house

  • A CT Foodshare Mobile Pantry stop right here in Milford (Tues., Sept. 23 from 11 AM–12 PM at Kingdom Life Church)

  • Information on local food assistance, including the Milford Food Resources Guide

  • And for something fun and educational—Bat Appreciation Day this Saturday in East Granby, featuring wildlife demos and hands-on activities for all ages
