Dear Families,
As we head into the weekend, forecasts are calling for a significant blizzard. We hope all of our Meadowside families stay safe, stay warm, and take every precaution during the storm.
A snowy day is the perfect opportunity to snuggle up with warm blankets, a mug of hot cocoa, and a great book! In fact, we would love you to share any pictures of your family reading together on the snowy day—we love to catch families reading together, as it has such a positive impact on a child’s love of reading and their growth as readers. So snap a picture and send it to me at gkrois@milforded.org and we'll share something small with your child to encourage their continued reading!
Please keep an eye on district communication channels for any updates or changes to school programming on Monday. Wishing you all a safe and cozy weekend ahead, Mrs. Gail Krois |

Kindergarten Registration |
|
|
Greetings, MPS Families!
We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 school year opened on Monday, January 12, 2026. If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org. You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services. School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.”
Children born on or before September 1, 2021 are eligible to register for Kindergarten. If your child is not age eligible (born September 2, 2021 through December 31, 2021), please use the online registration form to request a waiver.
Any current MPS Preschool or Ready To Learn (RTL) students will not need to complete an online registration form. However, we ask that you complete the Kindergarten Notification Form located in PowerSchool.
If you need assistance with the registration portal, please contact the main office of your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.”
We are excited for your children to join us! Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring. In the meantime, click here for a sneak peek of what to expect in Kindergarten! We look forward to welcoming the Class of 2039! |

Please remember to send your child in with warm weather wear as we still like to get outside for recess as much as possible. Please take a moment to label hats, gloves and coats - so that if items are misplaced we can get them back to you and your child! We do have a number of coats and sweatshirts in our lost and found, please reach out if there is something that you are missing. |
