Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,

Thanks for joining us in Going Pink today.

We loved being able to celebrate showing HEART at our first HEART Assembly of the year this week.  Thank you to our Pep Squad for their amazing show of Spirit and to our Fifth Graders for sharing their beautiful voices! And a BIG Congratulations to all our HEART recipients!  Keep showing HEART Meadowside! 

A big shout out to Piper in fifth grade this week too!  Piper is our Meadowside candidate for Kid Governor.  Congratulations Piper and good luck as you bring your campaign forward to the state level! 

Due to rain this week, our bus evacuation drills have been rescheduled for Monday, October 27th at drop off.  As we previously shared, this will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district, and in collaboration with our student transportation provider.  Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children.  We thank you for your cooperation and partnership in making our schools a safer place for learning.

Meadowside PTA’s FUN RUN is less than a week away.

Our FUN RUN is scheduled for October 30th, during the school day  The Fun Run is PTA’s primary fundraiser of the year.  All proceeds go directly to PTA to continue to support our programming which includes the shirts every student will be given at the Fun Run.  Prizes will be awarded to classes and students who raise the most money and run the most laps!  Start your fundraising page at https://app.99pledges.com/fund/meadowside3 and share the link with family & friends

Fifth Grade is hosting two fundraisers to help raise funds for the fifth grade celebration.  The first is a Double Good Virtual Popcorn fundraiser -- Starting Today and running though Tuesday, October 28 and the second is a Chipotle evening.  

We’re excited to announce our Double Good virtual popcorn fundraiser to support the Fifth Grade Celebration!

This fundraiser is 100% virtual — all sales are made online, and 50% of every purchase goes directly to our fifth grade celebration fund. The popcorn is award-winning, super fresh, and ships right to your buyers’ doors. Prices start at $11.

Weather permitting, please join us for our  Meadowside Costume Parade on Friday, October 31st at 9:00 am.  Please note in the event of inclement weather we will parade inside the building with only staff and students attending.  

• We invite our students to come to school in their costumes and to parade around the outside of the building!  Please have students wear their costumes over their regular clothes and bring a labeled bag for their costumes. (It's a long day to stay in your costume)
  

• Children must have a costume appropriate for elementary school aged children as gory/scary/violent images are not good for our little ones.  Additionally, props, toy weapons, face masks, and make-up, etc., are not allowed.
