Dear Families,
Thank you to all of the parents who have helped make these past few weeks so joyful for our students. This week, Grade 1 celebrated The Polar Express, and it was wonderful to see parents, teachers, and students celebrating together.
Winter Fest was also a great success. Mrs. Morin once again led the popular cake walk, providing fun for all who participated. In addition, our staff sponsored many Meadowside families for the holidays. Staff members purchased and delivered gifts to support families in need during this special time of year, demonstrating the care and generosity that make our community so special.
Meadowside had several accomplishments to celebrate this week. Mrs. Aliberti/Boyington was named Milford Teacher of the Year last year and was honored in Hartford this week. We are incredibly proud of her and grateful for the dedication she brings to our school community.
We also celebrate our students who were recognized in the Fire Prevention Contest:
Grade 4 – Third Place: Dominick Davitt
Grade 5 – First Place: Aliah Hussain
Grade 5 – Third Place: Shaishrinidhi Subramanikandan
Congratulations to these award recipients for their outstanding achievements!
Teaching and learning continue to be at the heart of our work. I have visited every classroom and observed fantastic instruction and student engagement. Students are working diligently to share their thinking with peers, write thoughtfully about their reading, and solve challenging mathematics problems. It has truly been a joy for me to be at Meadowside.
I hope you all enjoy a restful and happy break. We look forward to seeing everyone in January. Mrs. Krois is scheduled to return on January 9, 2026, and I know you will welcome her back with open arms.
With gratitude,
Brenda Anziano, Interim Principal
