Heart Highlights

February 20, 2026

Dear Meadowside Families,

Last week’s HEART Assembly was such a special celebration of our school community! We loved seeing the energy and spirit of our Pep Squad—thank you to Miss Morin and Miss Finnegan for helping our students shineas they cheered on our school. Another highlight of the assembly was hearing our third grade sign, proudly led by Miss Walsh. Their leadership and confidence were wonderful to see!

We also extend a big congratulations to all of our HEART Award winners. This month, we focused on “A for Attitude”—recognizing students who demonstrate positive mindsets, perseverance, and kindness in their daily actions. We are so proud of the way our students continue to live out our HEART values each and every day!

In addition, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the families who so thoughtfully hosted a Ramadan breakfast for our staff this morning. In their message, they shared: “With the essence of Ramadan in mind, we, as Muslim parents, would like to take this opportunity to share this special time with the wonderful staff of Meadowside Elementary School. Ramadan is a time for reflection, gratitude, and community, and it is our hope to foster a deeper understanding and connection with all those who contribute to the growth and well-being of our children.”

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from and celebrate the rich traditions within our Meadowside community. Moments like these strengthen our sense of belonging and remind us of the power of partnership between home and school.

Looking ahead -- Read Across America week is just around the corner in March!  Read on in our newsletter for a sneak peek at our theme days!

Wishing all of our Meadowside families a safe, restful, and warm weekend ahead! We hope you find time to relax, recharge, and enjoy time together.
