Special Opportunity!
Increase Your Impact - Be a Mentor!

All teachers interested in being certified to serve as TEAM (Teacher Education and Mentoring) Mentors must apply and be approved through the district to complete  “TEAM Mentor Initial Support Training” sessions.  Initial Support Teacher Training will prepare teachers to serve as TEAM mentors to new teachers as well as cooperating teachers to student teachers from local universities.

Teachers interested in applying must hold a Connecticut provisional or professional educator certificate and have at least three years of classroom teaching experience, including at least one year in Milford.

The training will focus on support roles, CCT expectations and coaching strategies to promote reflection and professional growth.  Training will be approximately 1.5 days long. If it is provided outside of school time, you will be compensated for your attendance.

The stipend for mentors engaged in a full year of active mentoring is $500.00.

All applications are due by June 11, 2024.
