Lauren Aliberti
Milford Public Schools Teacher of the Year
5th Grade Teacher, Meadowside Elementary
Lauren Aliberti brings heart, reflection, and innovation to her classroom every day. A passionate educator and dedicated learner herself, Lauren constantly seeks new ways to grow—earning advanced certifications and piloting district initiatives—all while ensuring every student feels seen, supported, and empowered. Gail Krois, principal of Meadowside, put it best when she said, “She sees and teaches the whole child, consistently making learning meaningful and relevant to their lives.”
Lauren’s classroom is a hub of inclusivity and curiosity, and her impact extends beyond its walls—planning school events, connecting students to the community, and uplifting her colleagues. “Lauren is always willing to help others—whether it’s sharing resources, offering advice, or lending her time to team initiatives.” Meadowside is proud to honor her as Teacher of the Year!
Congratulations Lauren!
Meghan Cole
Milford Public Schools Paraprofessional of the Year
Paraprofessional, East Shore Middle School
Meghan Cole is a compassionate and steady presence at East Shore Middle School, where she goes above and beyond to support students and staff alike. Known for her warmth, flexibility, and deep dedication, Meghan helps create a school culture where everyone feels seen and supported. In the words of Lisa Swanson, Interim Principal of East Shore, “Students are drawn to Meghan because she listens without judgment, provides calm and steady support, and creates a space where they feel safe to be vulnerable.”
Whether she’s stepping in to support instruction, chaperoning Ski Club, or simply offering a smile and a kind word, Meghan undoubtedly lives the “East Shore Way” every day. “She is a quiet leader, a trusted advocate, and a true role model.” We are delighted to recognize Meghan as Paraprofessional of the Year!
Congratulations Meghan!

Active now: A new and improved open enrollment process!
To ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted coverage, all benefits-eligible employees are asked to complete the enrollment process to either elect or waive coverage from now until June 11th!
To help guide you through the process, we’ve partnered with Brian Patten & Associates (BPA), experts in benefits communication and enrollment. You’ll have access to certified Benefit Counselors who can walk you through your options in a clear and personalized way. These one-on-one sessions are available by phone, with flexible appointment times — including early mornings, evenings, and weekends — to fit your schedule.
The Benefit Coaches will be able to explain the new and improved Aflac Benefits for Voluntary Whole Life Insurance and an enhanced Short Term Disability/Maternity Policy, as well as review your current selections!
This year, due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be returning to hard copy Salary Agreements for certified staff. Salary Agreements will be available for pickup at your school soon! Please keep an eye out for them through your main office or building administrator. We expect to return to Electronic Salary Agreements next year.
Once you receive your agreement, review it carefully, sign, and return it to the Talent Management and Development office within five (5) days. There will be a copy for you to keep and a copy to send back. Please scan and email your signed copy to TMD@milforded.org
If you are awaiting a degree change, you should still sign and return your current agreement.
Once your official transcript is received, we will issue an updated Salary Agreement to reflect the change.
