Be Kind Milford!
What better way to spread kindness than through our very own PGTA Program apparel!
The Parsons Post Graduate Transition Academy, better known as the “PGTA”, is a community-based transition program designed to provide real-life work experience and training to young adults (18-22 years old) with disabilities. They create partnerships with local businesses and programs in the community. Students are fully supervised and supported at each worksite by one of our trained job coaches while learning valuable skills needed to transition into the workplace or an adult day program.
New to the program is their very own screen printing business, creating various items ranging from $5.00 T-shirts to $25.00 hoodies, coffee mugs and more! All items are made by our PGTA students at their workshop and spread Milford love with a reminder to “Be a Kind Human!”
If you are interested in ordering or setting up a day for your school to have its very own PGTA Pop-Shop, please contact Lauren Ranges at LRanges@milforded.org

Rob Nevins has been featured on Better Connecticut and has been working with other municipalities such as Madison, Middletown, Guilford, Enfield, Groton and East Haven. He has been working with the employees of the City of Milford since 2020 on not only helping to achieve their health plans and goals, but also to continue their healthy lifestyles. We have heard many success stories from employees who have lost weight, stopped taking medication and improved their overall health.
This program is open to all City and Board of Ed employees who are on our Anthem insurance plan who have not previously enrolled in the Slim Nation program. Employees who were previously on the plan are encouraged to continue communication with Rob via phone, text or email to ask questions, receive guidance or share achievements.
The program is limited to the first 25 employees who sign up. If the maximum limit has not been reached by deadline, we will open to spouses.
This is not a program where you count points, get prepared meals in the mail or spend countless hours in the gym. It’s real food management based upon your likes and dislikes from food purchased directly from your grocery store. If you have diabetes or high cholesterol, this program has proven to make a difference!
Click here for more information on Rob's informational seminars and how to sign up!
The deadline to enroll is Friday, December 20th!

Tech Tip...
Tech Tip: Mastering Google Drive Organization & Email Management in 5 Minutes!
Simplify Document Management with Google Drive Folders & Smart Email Search:
We all know that managing tons of documents and emails in a fast-paced environment can feel overwhelming. But here are two simple tricks you can use today to save time and reduce stress!
1. Organize Your Google Drive with Color-Coded Folders:
In Google Drive, you can create folders to keep everything organized. But here’s a pro tip: color-code your folders for easy access. Here's how:
Right-click on a folder.
Select "Change color".
Pick a color that helps you categorize—blue for lesson plans, green for reports, red for administrative docs, etc.
This quick step makes it easy to spot what you need at a glance and keeps your Drive tidy!
Bonus Tip: Use Gmail’s labels to categorize important messages (like “Urgent,” “To-Do,” “Action Needed”) to easily find them later.
2. Use Google Drive’s “Starred” Feature for Quick Access to Important Files:
Feeling buried under a mountain of files? Here’s a quick way to keep the ones you use most at your fingertips:
Star files or folders that you need easy access to, but don’t want to clutter your main view.
Here’s how:
Right-click on a file or folder in Google Drive.
Select "Add to Starred".
Once you've starred a file or folder, you can easily access it from the "Starred" section in the left-hand menu of Google Drive—no more hunting through a sea of folders!
Now, you’ve got color-coded folders for visual clarity and starred files for quick, personalized access. These two simple changes will help you stay organized and save time searching for documents!
