Talent Management & Development
October 30, 2024
The Talent Management & Development team is committed to supporting the staff in the MPS from recruitment through their entire employee experience in the Milford Public Schools.
People are our purpose.
The purpose of this newsletter is to foster connectedness and belonging throughout our organization. Our motto is "Putting People First" and YOU are our people.
Have you ever thought about becoming a TEACHER?
If so, the CT Teacher Residency Program (CT TRP) is looking for its next cohort of residents!
The mission of the CT TRP is to provide college graduates with an alternate route to elementary or special education certification based on a residency model that focuses on recruiting, preparing, and retaining teachers of color or other marginalized populations in Connecticut. Residents participate in courses for 14 to 18 months at no cost and are eligible for a full-time teaching position in a partner district upon successfully completing the program requirements. MPS is a partner district with the CT Teacher Residency Program and we would love to “grow our own” through this program!
If you are a para or a staff member with a college degree and have always thought about becoming a teacher, this program may be for you. Please CLICK HERE to view their flyer and contact Wendy Kopazna if you have further questions about the CT TRP.

Tech Tip...
Use Clipboard History for Quick Copy-Paste on Windows
Most people know how to copy and paste (Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V), but Windows Clipboard History is a lesser-known feature that makes it easier to manage and access multiple items you've copied.
How to Use It:
Press Windows Key + V to open your Clipboard History.
You'll see a list of everything you've copied recently. Just click on the one you want, and it will paste instantly.
You can also pin frequently copied items to always keep them handy!
This is super useful for anyone who needs to copy multiple things at once—like text, links, or images—without having to constantly go back and forth.
Bonus:
Chromebook users can access a similar feature by pressing Search (or Launcher) + V.
The Launcher button on a Chromebook is typically where you'd find the Search key (it looks like a magnifying glass icon). It’s usually located in the same spot as the Caps Lock key on a traditional keyboard. Pressing this key brings up the app launcher, which you can use to search for apps, files, or perform Google searches.
For the Clipboard History feature, Launcher/Search + V will show the last few items copied, making it easy to paste something you’ve used before.
This simple tip can save tons of time during daily tasks!
