Dear West Shore Middle School Families,

We had a great first full week of school! It has been wonderful to see students settling into their new routines so well, getting comfortable with their schedules, and diving into their learning. A great reminder that school breakfast is free for all students this year, please encourage your child to take advantage of this great resource to start their day off right.

We're excited to share that WAVE, our grant-funded after school program, will kick off on October 5th. WAVE will run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Students begin each session with dedicated homework time before moving into a variety of exciting activities for the rest of the afternoon. Applications are now open, please see the flyer and application linked below. Please note there will be no afterschool buses.

Our first PTA meeting will be held on September 9th in the media center at 6:30 p.m. We'll be sharing information about our new school-wide PBIS program, ROAR: Three Houses, One School, so we hope you'll join us.

Finally, we look forward to welcoming you to Open House on Tuesday, September 15th. More information to come.

PTA Meeting:  The first PTA meeting of the year is on September 9th at 6:30 in the Media Center, followed at 7:00ish with an 8th-grade committee meeting.  We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Mums Fundraiser:  Orders are due Thursday, September 10th. Order pickup will be on Friday, September 18th, from 3:30 - 5:30 at WSMS.
